Bessie Jane Griffith Davis

	Mrs. Bessie Jane Griffith Davis, 82, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at 8:25 p.m. in Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas.
	 Mrs. Davis was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ.  She was a homemaker, having lived in Jonesboro and Bay areas most of her life.  She was born March 4, 1919 at Ash Flat, Ark.
	Surviving are her husband, Ray Divis of the home; stepmother, Jessie Griffith of Truman; four daughters, Willma Hickman of Imboden, Ark., Lillian Richardson of Brich Tree, Mo., Alfreda Davis of West Memphis, Ark. and Loretta Hill of DuQuoin; two brothers, Floyd Griffith of Southaven, Miss. and Lacy Griffith of Jonesboro, Ark.; nine grandchildren; seven grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives.
	Her parents and four sisters preceded her in death.
	Funeral services were Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel in Jonesboro, Ark. minister Kenneth Gossett and assisting minister Israel Crocker officiating.  Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery.
	 Visitation was Thursday, March 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
	 The family requests that those wishing to leave lasting memorials consider the Childrens Home in Paragould, Ark.
